Week 6 We are all the Lord's Shepherds

Another week down here at the MTC and it's crazy to think that I'll only have two more p-days here in the MTC and then I will be off to Ukraine joining all my fellow missionaries!! I'm really excited about getting there and beginning to invite the Ukrainians to come unto Christ! I have been blessed to have been raised in the gospel and always have it be a part of my life and I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity I have to bring that to others and gather scattered Israel!
A little update on myself and how I'm doing it has been a really amazing week for me I'm finding out a lot about how I can be and instrument in the Lord's hands and what recognizing the spirit and following promptings that I receive really means. As I've worked and got better at it I really feel myself building that connection with the spirit and growing closer to the Savior and it gets me so happy and excited! I find great joy in serving others and always had, I'm happy to have even more opportunities to serve and turn outward!

A little bit about this past week! I'll just hit a few of the really big highlights...
To start singing in conference!! That was an amazing experience for me! One that I know I will always remember because of how much it meant to me to be there and have that opportunity! The spirit was amazing strong there as we bore our testimony through song and represented missionaries across the world! The message of the songs were so powerful and I really felt their truthfulness as we sang! "All now rejoice the long night is o'er truth is on Earth once more!!" The true church is restored back on the Earth today! It is lead by Jesus Christ through his prophets and apostles that he has called and given the power and authority to preside over his church and administer to it's members. I belong to that church the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am the Lord's missionary and have been called to be his representative on the Earth! I will bear witness that he lives and loves everyone of us! That I know to be true.

This week actually just yesterday morning we gave a skype TRC lesson to a member who is living in Kiev, Ukraine all in Russian and it went amazingly well! We taught about the importance of the small little parts of the gospel like prayer, scripture study, and going to church! It was a really powerful lesson and my Russian is coming along really well! As I keep pushing forward and working hard I have seen amazing results and I'm able to speak and teach in Russian with meaning and feeling! It was amazing to teach a Ukrainian man I have a great love for those people who I have yet to even meet! But they mean a lot to me!
Also yesterday we had the opportunity to have Sister Cordon the YW General President come and speak to us in our devotional and she had just spoken in general conference! It was amazing we learned a lot and afterwards had a great district discussion!

I just want to leave you with a few of my thoughts from conference this week! I noticed many talks about being a shepherd and looking and the needs of others and what we can do to help them! There are so many opportunities to serve and help others we need only to seek after them! If we will really think about others and who we might help we will realize just how much can be done for others. I have had many experiences in this week where I have been able to think what I can do to help out someone and I have found many things I can do and it has brought me so much joy to be able to make a difference in someone's life! I would challenge you all to pray for an opportunity to be the answer to someones prayer this week, or to find an opportunity how you can serve another! I know that as we look out for each other and be a shepherd of the Lord we can all lift up and strengthen one another through our efforts!!

I hope this email finds everyone doing well, and that you enjoyed conference as much as I did!
Love,
Elder Halls
