Elder Spencer Halls

This week we had a lot of lessons fall through which is of course tough! It's sad too see people not progress very well because they can't make lessons or fulfill other commitments. Hopefully this coming week will be filled with a little bit more success in that regard! The Hongs' Apartment Soooo we were tasked with cleaning out the senior couple's apartment and we have now finished! We did it in a bunch of trips and we got super sweaty toting home the long bathroom cabinet but we got it all done. I think my arms are still sore haha! We now have an apartment filled with things that we don't have space for so it's a little cluttered but that's what we have P-days for. In no time it'll be spotless here once again! Hey all you friends (amigos/друзья) and family (familia/семья)!  This week the transfer calls came and they пощадили each and every one of us here in the Харьковской Зоне! What a blessing! We are all happy to stay around for at least one more transfer together! That makes 5 ровно!  Обучение Людей Евангелию!  We continued this week to work with Atos who we found on Facebook! We sent him a Book of Mormon and he was really excited to receive it! Me and Elder Trounce taught him on our exchange that we had this week! It was a really great and powerful lesson! I love to teach the message of the Restoration! I would say that my testimony of the Restoration grows every single time I teach that lesson! It went very well! However, afterwards he was sending some messages asking questions about the Book of Mormon in relation to the Bible. He was offended that any other book would even be compared to the Bible and refused to read it. We pray and hope that his heart will sof...

We had a great week! We began teaching some various people that I'm really excited about! We had some really cool experiences with them! This was a big learning week and I feel like I learned a very valuable life lesson! I hope that I can fit everything that happened and all meaning here into this letter. The People!  We had yet another lesson with Alexander. We've kinda hit a stumbling block with him and his progress but this was a really great lesson. He's searching for evidence that the Book of Mormon is true but not putting in the time to read and study it. We tried to help him understand that the study and pondering with prayer is the best way for him to receive an answer. It was great that we had Dima on the lesson who had a similar experience and was able to share his testimony with Alexander. By the end of the lesson Alexander explained how he saw that faith is what will lead to knowledge rather than just searching for evidence or answers to questions like wh...

I hope that I can communicate all that happened this week and all of our efforts! As always it's a joy to be serving together in the Lord's vineyard. I truly love Ukraine, as i spoke with my family today i was over come with that realization as I talked about these streets, these people, and this country! I remember prayers offered in the MTC each night with my companions as we knelt together and in our best broken Russian prayed for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters. I've been so blessed to get to know so many of them and I'm so grateful! Sister Hall We had a really great devotional from a professor at BYU. This week was very great! I learned so many wonderful things. The Week This week we had some great successes in finding! It's been miraculous to me to see how we are all finding in different ways. Some have had great success on Facebook others have received many referrals from ads and or members and various places. But the pattern is the same throughout if we have the righteous desire to teach and the willingness to work hard and follow the Lord's guidance we will have many opportunities! For us we have found great success in our Area Book and other old contacts that is how we've found the vast majority of those we are teaching. This week we were able to begin teaching 5 new brothers! There were many really cool things that we had happen this week! We had a really cool day on Saturday where we had 3 back to back lessons with members an exchange and than another lesson with someone we are teaching right now!  Saturday People  The first of these lessons was with Franklin, who was baptized about a year ago. Since I've been in Kharkiv I haven't ever been able to meet him. He's responded only a couple times to messages on Facebook and WhatsApp but most of the time attempts to connect had been unsuccessful. This week we were able to set up a meeting and it went very well! We got to know him and talked about our baptismal covenants and the Book of Mormon! The lessons went very well and Franklin agreed to join in the English church service the following day, which he did attend! So that was so cool! We were happy to see him! This was a really great week! We saw some real promising progress from some of those whom we are teaching at the moment! I feel like I have also learned a lot as I've been studying and just having very many wonderful experiences this week! Мои маски So I have 2 маски if you haven't noticed by now one of them is blue and the other is white and every time I go outside I wear one маску of my маск. My blue-(ая) маска is light and fashionable and reminds me of the sky and is pretty breathable but not super effective if a crazy coughing man was gonna be attacking me. So most often I choose my durable white(ая) маска for the added protection factor.
