Day 2 in the MTC

So my district is a little bit behind the swing of things cause we didn't know that we were supposed to send an email the day that we got here or right after but now we are all picking up that slack and emailing right before our second Russian class starts today!

My companion is Elder Gardiner he went to Lone Peak High school and so did Elder Stosich who is also in my district we kind of laughed over the rivalry of our schools and we are good buddies now! I have an amazing district everyone is really hard working and dedicated and wants to learn this language! The zone is super great as well! Our zone has all the Russian speaking missionaries and then also missionaries speaking Armenian, Georgian, Latvian, Estonian, Ukrainian and I think that gets them all! We all sit together at meals and it's great to be around all the Russians. A lot of people here are going to Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk and that is super great I think that there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 who all got here wednesday but there are even more in the zone going there.

My normal p-day is gonna be on wednesday so that is the day that I will be able to email normally while I am here at the MTC. We have had some really great experiences so far as we've been here THE SPIRIT IS SO STRONG!! It is awesome I love being a missionary it's such a great and powerful feeling all of the elders and sisters are super kind and nice all the time and it is a great environment.

We try to speak Russian as much as we can but we really don't know to many words so the ones we do know we really overuse! But we love to speak what we do know haha. I can feel that as we are diligent and try to use the language that we do know we will be able to learn it better.

We had a really great experience on Wednesday the first real lesson that we had was People and Our purpose. They brought in people who were interested in the church and wanted to know more (were not sure if they were actually members or not but it felt real so I'm saying not!) Rodrigo and he was awesome he wanted to know a little more about the church! He hoped that the things he knew and had heard were true like eternal families but he wasn't sure that he could believe that! I had a really good thought to go with that how hope is an amazing starting point for us! Hope is what grows into believing and then one day knowing for ourselves. That process happens as we experiment for ourselves and try to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Hope you are doing well!

Love,
