Week 58: Conference



Well well
Welcome back to the weekly email family and friends and any guests who might read as well! ;)

Another week is in the books and I'm still working on getting it in my journal because I'm a little behind there but it's in some books somewhere.

This week was really great!! We got work done, learned a whole bunch, exchanges, activities, lessons, prophets, and apostles. Lots a good things going on for sure!

Let's get into it:

Happenings
So I mentioned a little bit northward of these sentences we had some exchanges this week! They were absolutely great!! I had 3 to be exact. On Wednesday I was with Elder Hansen from Orange county! We worked really good together and had some great successes that we saw together- super excited! He's a stud of a missionary. On Thursday I was with Elder Mamajanyan who is from Armenia. He's the coolest! He works so hard and super effectively! He's a great example to us all. Both these exchanges were in our area so it was cool to have twice the normal companionships here in Dnipro Center because we got so much done!! 
Then on Friday I kicked in on over to Kirova with Elder Terry who is from Las Vegas. And the heavens opened and let us know what they're about so yeah it rained pretty good! That's for sure! Haha actually it rained real good. But we still had a bunch of success несмотря на то, что дождь шёл.

People
We had some really great lessons this week and right now have 5 people that are really making good progress! They could all use your prayers for sure!
Nikolai is awesome!! He's the one on baptismal date for the 19th so just two weeks away now.
Sergei has been coming to church now and has been to 2 general Conferences and is starting to read the book of Mormon. He's great too!
Aleksei and Veronika and their daughters too. They're the family we are teaching. They're super cool! Praying to know whether or not they should be baptized.
And Ayoub! We found him this week and he's a stud!! He doesn't really know anything about God but he already loves church and Gen. Conf.

We taught a bunch of other first lessons this week too and last week so there should be some more people going on the list here soon!

General Conference
We gathered and watched general Conference together as a branch and with those we were teaching and we tuned in live! It was really cool! It started here at 7 PM and we watched the Saturday Morning Session. All the investigators who were able to come really enjoyed it and the spirit was really strong! It was a really great opportunity and those we are teaching made some really great friendships with members of the church and it was all super great!! 

I'm doing really well! I love the work and were working hard and seeing miracles so of course can't complain!

Spiritual Thought!
WATCH CONFERENCE
haha what a blessing it is to have come with questions and found answers. What a blessing it is to have the fullness of the Gospel in our days! I'm grateful for living Prophets and Apostles in our day! I know this church is true and that knowledge brings me joy and happiness!! I would encourage you all to ponder the words of the prophets frequently! They can answer our questions, comfort us in strife and will strengthen us!

Week 20 Winter Wonderland

Hello family and friends! I hope you all had a great week this past week wherever in the world you are right now! This week was really great for me! I'm learning so much and growing more and more into the work!  IT IS GETTING COLD!! Saturday I remember walking outside and I think I shed a little tear of sadness because I had thought we were on our way back to warmer weather but that is just not the case. I think it won't be warming up even just a little bit any time soon haha. This week it snowed sooo much. Pretty much everyday! Week 23: I promise we aren't thieves

Привет всем!!! Это я Старейшина Халлс все хорошо у меня! Another week is here in the books in Dnepr, Ukraine, we are all doing good the ice is melting off of the ground and it's getting warmer which I am very excited about! However I still think that it is just the weather deceiving us and it's about to get even colder than I thought was possible... But there is always hope maybe winter is on the outs early this year in Ukriane! посмотрим!  This week has been pretty good for me!! I felt like I've had so many great experiences and learned a lot as well!! I think I'll just go right in! Tuesday we have this weekly things where we go over to this members house and help here grandson out with some English help and then we also do a lesson! Her grandson and her son are not members but they come to church sometimes! this week was our third week there but it was the first time that Zhenya stayed and listened to our lesson which was really exciting! Week 97: Igor's ready!

Hello everyone!! This has been a really eventful and productive week! The biggest part of it I would say has been our teaching of Igor. I've grown to love this brother deeply! We quickly went through all the lessons. Most things he already remembered but there were a lot of other things that we were able to remind him and help him with and that was really good. Things like the Priesthood and the Sacrament. I felt that the spirit was a big help when we prayed to know what we should focus on as we worked with him. There were small and simple promptings that came that we then followed and felt good about. It's amazing to me to see the peace that he feels as he prepares for his baptism. He's very grateful for the work and things we have been doing to help him prepare for his baptism and also get his baptismal service ready and planned. He will be baptized this Saturday.
