Week 76: Woohoo

Hello my friends

This is Elder Halls again! Haha we had a really great week here in Kharkiv and did a bunch of cool things. We had some new ideas that we tried some that worked really good others that worked less so but all in all a really good week!

Творчество ;)
We tried some different things this week as a district it was exciting. We tried to incorporate a guitar in contacting I dont know if it was anymore successful than normal contacting but a ton more people came on our activity that day so I'm gonna say that it worked! Haha we basically just had someone play and another sing while we handed out church and english cards to people walking by and tried to talk with them! We got out a bunch of cards!

Оливье 🥗
This is like one of my favorite foods in Ukraine and this week I ate it about 3 times so I couldn't be happier. It's actually a salad. It has boiled eggs, ham, peas, carrots, potatoes, pickles, and mayo and I absolutely love it. Ukrainian food is a blessing!!

Музей 🏤
We also went to the museum this week and it was super cool! I learned all about everything from thousands of years ago in Ukraine to world war II and the Soviet era. Not gonna lie it was actually super cool! I'll try and send the most interesting pictures so you can all enjoy. At one part I found the camera that I found in Dnipro in one of the exhibits so turns out my camera is super cool and like 50-40 years old!

Снег ❄
The snow is all melting now and it looks like winter is over here. But nobodies knows what could be ahead. The melting snow provides the perfect slippery surface for my tractionless shoes and boots so that keeps me on my toes. It's always sad when we see someone fall. They almost never want to stop and talk after they fall right in front of you on the street but we do our best to help them out. I have yet to fall for the record (*knocks on wood)

Полтава 🏙➡️🚉➡️🌇
This week we had an exchange in Poltava. The home of the best cookies in Ukraine. I saw the Dominik factory and even smelt the sweet air around him. It was a blessing. Later we ate some delicious cookies for which we were very grateful. Also we rode an electric train that was super nice!! I like riding on the trains here it's always cool to look at the little towns in between the big cities

Наші люди
Dima is doing soooooo well! He's gonna get baptized this week we are soooooo excited for him! He's excited too which is also very important ;) Other than that we actually dropped a lot of people this week and we have a few people with potential still hanging on but our once cluttered whiteboard is now less cluttered so we've got some finding to do!

Spiritual Thought
And I will also be your light in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led.
1 Nephi 17:13

I've thought a lot about this scripture! I love the bottom line "ye shall know that it is by me that ye are led." Of all the blessings that we have in our lives this one is so important and such a great privilege. To know that you are being led and guided by the Lord is a great blessing. As we keep the commandments and seek the Lord's wisdom and guidance we can have that confirmation of the spirit assuring us that we are doing what the Lord would have us do and we are he would have us be! I hope we seek that daily and we ask frequently to be able to know the will of the Lord for us!
