Week 64: Let's Harvest This Field

Алло!
Hey everyone!

This week we stayed a little more local.. haha it was a good week for sure! Lots of miracles and special days!!

Mid Transfer Conference
So in our mission in the middle of the transfer we gather back in all new missionaries and their trainers and we just kind discuss how everything is going and talk about things to try and how we can better help them привыкать  (I forgot that word in English sorry...) It is always one of my most favorite meetings because by the end everyone just walks away with new directions and answers to their questions so it's really uplifting and I feel like I always learn new things for myself as well. I got to see my old comp Elder Rasmussen which is always good! He's training right now and really enjoying that.

Harvest Day
This week on Wednesday we had an extra special event in our mission. We took one day and decided to make an extra special focus on inviting people to receive and begin reading the Book of Mormon. In preparation for the day we had members writing testimonies in books, we were pasting in questions of the soul, many things working on getting enough copies to missionaries all over the mission. We chose to as a mission make it a day of fasting and prayer and we all at 7:00 in the morning prayed together as a mission and as members that we could be lead to those ready to receive us. It was a very powerful day and we saw countless miracles. We probably gave out more Books of Mormon in one day than I have given out in whole transfers on my mission. It was absolutely miraculous. As a mission we gave out a total of 728 Books all in just one day! There was one specific moment when I gave a Book to this one man and just had a deep and specific impression that the book which I gave him is gonna help someone to come to the church! It made me think of all the little things we do in our lives and the big impacts they might have that we may never know about! That's why it's so important that we seek to do the will of the Lord in all things! We had a really amazing day that we ended as a mission together with a testimony meeting and a prayer finishing our fast! The spirit was so strong and it was a big day of growth for my personal testimony of the Book of Mormon!

Exchanges
This week we had 3 and I was in the other area- not ours all three times haha! It was really good though!! I was with Elders Atkinson II, Croft and Hirschi and they were all really great exchanges! All of these Elders have 3 or less transfers in the field so it was super fun to work with them, answer questions and learn from them as well! Exchanges are definitely always a highlight!

Teaching
We've kind of started again from scratch which is too bad but things are looking up. We have a big pool of contacts and are hoping to see those first lessons that we have set up go well! Taras still has lots of hope, he just has been super busy with work and hasn't made it to church so when we are able to meet next with him we'll have to explain that we need to move his date back. He's an awesome brother, love the man!

Spiritual Thought
Thanksgiving Day is coming up and although Ukrainians don't celebrate this holiday we will! Haha I wanted to share my favorite Thanksgiving scripture:
У и З (D&C) 78:19
"19 And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more."

What a blessing it is to be grateful!!!!

I'm grateful for my mission and happy to be serving in Ukraine! Next week my Pday will be Thursday so you won't hear from me Monday!

Love,
