Week 63: Travels

Hello everyone!!

Travels!
This week we spent more time outside of our area than in our area. Which definitely made for some exciting adventures. Things were done in this mission that haven't ever been done before. Let's get started.

First off, in just 5 Days we went to 3 Zone Conferences and MLC and did 2 exchanges. We traveled 1,754 kilometers by bus and walked some more kilometers as well. Elder Dunn placed a Book of Mormon at 3 in the Morning in a city called Melitopol where there aren't any missionaries. I got a record amount of sleep on a Night bus and we also has a chance to eat some Хачапури so I can't complain.

1st stop Odessa
On Sunday .we drove down through the night to get to Odessa on Monday morning. Once we we there we made a stop by the Zone Leaders and relaxed over there with them for a little bit. And we made the decision to go and eat some Georgian food (btw would recommend it's super good) after which we got some ice cream and headed to the Ocean there it was super pretty and we enjoyed that a bunch of course. That night we got ready for the next days Conference and we also did a little exchange! The exchange was super great! The following day we had the first Conference of Elder Boom's mission tour it went great and it was cool to hear what he had to say as well. That evening we rode out of Odessa with all of the Odessa missionary leaders to Dnepr. It was the smallest bus I have every seen. If you all know Bishop Taylor this was smaller than his 12 passenger van- smaller by 4 passengers. Nevertheless I still slept amazingly. I think it was from being tired from the previous trip.

2nd stop Dnipro
We got to Dnipro with enough time to do District council before MLC so that's what we did! MLC was really great. We watched the new Light the World video "the Christ Child" which is really a special video. It really brought the spirit.
So in our mission there are actually 4 zones but the South Zone is super spread out so it's most convenient for them to come to Dnipro to meet actually. In the interest of time we had our South and Dnipro Zones together. It was super cool. We had there about 40 missionaries altogether and it was really cool to sit up in front and look out on everybody! This was a super special conference!! We had a role play that me and Elder Bagley did and it was the invitation to baptism and the spirit was there so strongly and powerfully and it was a special sacred experience regardless of the fact that it was just a role play and example! We had to shorten this Conference so that the Wirthlins and Booms would make it to Kharkiv in time for some meetings. So they left, we got everything wrapped up and taken care of did a quick lesson with Taras and then left at 6 on up to Kharkiv.

3rd Stop Kharkiv
We made it to Kharkiv that night, got something to eat and went to the apartment where I met my posterity. Elder Trounce was there with his son. They're a hoot. I've got a good son and grand son. The following day we had Zone conference. Which was really great!! It was super exciting and it was cool to me to see how different each of the conferences was. Following the conference we started an exchange with the Kharkiv Zone Leaders. I was with Elder McCoard which is always a great opportunity! I really enjoy that! We had a lot of success together! If you've ever seen the Book of Mormon experiment video we did that and it worked out really well for us!! We got out some copies and got some numbers as well.

Last stop home
We left Kharkiv Saturday evening and slept in our beds once more here in Dnipro the following day being church! It was super great!! Abraham come and we also are going to begin teaching a grandma and grandson from donetsk by Skype! Should be super cool!!

Spiritual Thought!
Of all the things that Elder Boom taught us that stood out the most was actually two things. The first is that we are always missionaries throughout our lives and second is the importance of gospel living and families!! As we live the gospel we will be blessed and we will have the great opportunities to bless the lives of those around us. Our families, friends, neighbors!! We've been blessed with the gospel and it is our duty to share it!! I hope we all find opportunities to share the gospel! With our brothers and sisters, our parents, those in our ward, neighbors, with everyone. We all are in need of greater light and love no matter how long we've been a member of the church or even if we aren't members! We all have that same need! We gain so much by giving of ourselves and our time!!
Matthew 10:39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it:"

Much Love brothers and sisters
