Week 62: "There is peace in Christ" 🎵

Another week up on the week shelf.

This one was a good and busy one. Just ripe with different events and things going on! I guess I'll go ahead and give you the run down.

Stray Dogs
All of the stray dogs seem to love to bark at me specifically. I don't know what it's about but I've haven't been bitten yet. All of the babuski are right there to help out when things get close and those dogs respect the babushki.

On that note let's get into something a little more касающееся this week:

Tuesday (в вторник)
We had a busy tuesday at the beginning of the day but by the end of tuesday we had a пустой Tuesday. Of the 3 lessons that we had lined up one of them did workout. It was a very interesting lesson with one of our beloved brethren for the JW's. Их много here in Ukraine! Who would've thought? Not I! Well we invited him to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if its true! Because if it is then it's soooooo important!! And spoiler- it is true! 

Every good exchange starts with a Shawarma
We met our brethren from the left side of the river on the square located on the right side of the river. And we brought to them (купили им) the shawarma. We then proceeded to eat the shawarma and after that started our exchange. I was with Elder Arnold over on the left side of the Dnepr river. Also referred to as left bank. Elder Arnold lives not far from the birthplace of my little Sister, who I refer to as, "sister" or at other times "Kennady." Needless to say we had much in common from the get go. We had a good day together and got lots of work done and saw many great miracles!! Elder Arnold is a younger missionary serving with my favorite Elder Stosich. And they're on fire right now if you were interested to know!

This week we've been doing a lot of work in preparation for Zone conferences and we've been in the office a bunch for that finalizing agenda and presentations and all that jazz! But this week we will be reaping all the rewards of that hard work! Nothing is without fruit! 

Sunday
Sunday was great!! We had 3 come to church which makes 2 weeks in a row хотя. It was a different 3 then the time prior but it's still progress!! We've begun teaching a man that we found this week and he is awesome! He loves the scriptures and wants to just deepen his knowledge and understanding so he wants to go to institute. The only problem is he's an older man so he can't.... but we tried to explain to him that we have lessons to teach him! At first he was sad he couldn't go to institute but now he's excited! We told him it'll be like personal institute and that he'll learn so much!!

Odesa Baby
I'm writing this email from Odesa. I just saw the black sea and 10 hours ago I was asleep on this bus. There was a stop on the way with a "toilet" not a great toilet... I'll include a picture so you could all understand the squatter.

Spiritual Thought!
Relying on the Lord we can do all things anything that is challenging for us or too difficult we can do it with the Lord!!

"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ"

Week 20 Winter Wonderland

Hello family and friends! I hope you all had a great week this past week wherever in the world you are right now! This week was really great for me! I'm learning so much and growing more and more into the work!  IT IS GETTING COLD!! Saturday I remember walking outside and I think I shed a little tear of sadness because I had thought we were on our way back to warmer weather but that is just not the case. I think it won't be warming up even just a little bit any time soon haha. This week it snowed sooo much. Pretty much everyday! It's hard to tell how much because when you are living in a city of 1 million people and everyone walks everywhere it just gets all compressed down on the sidewalk, then after that turns into ice. People fall all the time its funny but also sometimes really sad! Week 23: I promise we aren't thieves

Привет всем!!! Это я Старейшина Халлс все хорошо у меня! Another week is here in the books in Dnepr, Ukraine, we are all doing good the ice is melting off of the ground and it's getting warmer which I am very excited about! However I still think that it is just the weather deceiving us and it's about to get even colder than I thought was possible... But there is always hope maybe winter is on the outs early this year in Ukriane! посмотрим!  This week has been pretty good for me!! I felt like I've had so many great experiences and learned a lot as well!! I think I'll just go right in! Tuesday we have this weekly things where we go over to this members house and help here grandson out with some English help and then we also do a lesson! Her grandson and her son are not members but they come to church sometimes! this week was our third week there but it was the first time that Zhenya stayed and listened to our lesson which was really exciting! Week 97: Igor's ready!

Hello everyone!! This has been a really eventful and productive week! The biggest part of it I would say has been our teaching of Igor. I've grown to love this brother deeply! We quickly went through all the lessons. Most things he already remembered but there were a lot of other things that we were able to remind him and help him with and that was really good. Things like the Priesthood and the Sacrament. I felt that the spirit was a big help when we prayed to know what we should focus on as we worked with him. There were small and simple promptings that came that we then followed and felt good about. It's amazing to me to see the peace that he feels as he prepares for his baptism. He's very grateful for the work and things we have been doing to help him prepare for his baptism and also get his baptismal service ready and planned. He will be baptized this Saturday. We have been able to talk about everything with the branch leaders and we should have a great baptismal ...
