Week 4 Reading Socks

Another week down at the MTC!! It's super awesome but all the days kind of melt together and everything goes really fast so when P-days hit it's always a challenge to remember what happened and what stories I can or was planning on sharing with everyone but I always seem to get through it so here it goes.. We had the opportunity again to go to the temple! Which is one of my favorite moments of the week! One thing that makes it so special is because our P-day is on wednesday and our temple time starts at 12:30 we always go to the temple when the weeks incoming missionaries are taking pictures with their families in front of the temple and saying there goodbyes! Sometimes we see people who we know and if we don't it's always so great anyway! Because it reminds us of the love we have for our families and that this gospel is here to bless us and the gospel in the home really strengthens those family relationships and is so amazing and that's a message I am exci

Another week in the MTC down and it seems like I was sending my last weekly email just yesterday so it's all kinda a little bit crazy and fast at the same time but that is just because being a missionary is so awesome!!  This week was filled with so many highlights but also so sad things that were hard as well! I'm doing totally okay so now worries about that! I'm gonna jump right in and tell all of you about my week!! Thursday I had some great strides I have started to make in the language! Some times on the mission and in life it is hard for us to see the progress that we are making even when it is there and when we are progressing. This is because sometimes those little difference don't feel like much to us. But when we take moments to look back and reflect we can really see how well we are doing! We had TRC on Thursday where you basically teach members of the Church lessons but you do it all in Russian! So it's super fun because there isn't as much w

Another great week at the MTC down! I'll kind of give you all a little recap and maybe hit on some of the highlights! After I emailed on Wednesday we went to the temple as a district and that was a super great experience! We all look forward to being able to go and being there the spirit is so strong and it is just always a great experience.  I thought I'd share a little bit about what are schedule is like during the normal days here at the MTC like the non P-day or devotional day. It's different for every zone but here is ours. We get up at 6:30 and get ready for the day have breakfast and a little time to study language or the scriptures. Then by 8:30 our first class starts and it is usually half Russian and half teaching skills or gospel discussion, sometimes we teach lessons it just all kind of depends. after that we usually have lunch and then exercise time. Elder Gardiner likes to go lift at the gym so we go on splits and I play basketball with

It has been a great first week here at the MTC everything goes by super fast! The days last really long and the weeks just fly by. We have already began to notice that after just our first week. I think it all depends on your attitude and how you feel about the work!  My District is Elder Atkinson from Delta, Utah Elder Grover from Lehi Elder Stosich from Alpine Elder Baggaley from Somewhere in the valley Elder Gardiner from Alpine Sister Davidson from Rhode Island and Sister Aalto from Finland The Russian language is super awesome and we all really enjoy learning it but that doesn't mean that it isn't super hard haha. It seems like we always leave class feeling overwhelmed and then we have time to study and recuperate and we come back to class feeling like we finally know what were doing just to get our minds blown and be all overwhelmed again it's quite the roller coaster! But we are working hard we have a really great teacher who has encouraged us t
