Week 65: HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Image
I've got quite the task at hand this week to describe not just one week but one and a half weeks. That's crazy to think... Next email I'll be trying to describe just 3 days. Hopefully they'll be super exciting всё-таки haha.  Alright so to dive in, we are gonna have to take it back to not just one monday but two mondays ago! We spent the day doing many things but one of the things we did was sharpen our apple pie making skills to get ready for the thanksgiving feast with all the missionaries!  prep/дела Right now there are a lot of things that we are getting prepared for so that has been a little wild for sure. Helping get things ready for light the world, upcoming zone conference and other things. We have also had a lot of other little projects and things we've be doing and those things have been keeping us busy. The things we've been working on are just things to help our missionaries learning Russian and in contacting and just a whole bunch of dif

Week 64: Let's Harvest This Field

Алло! Hey everyone!  This week we stayed a little more local.. haha it was a good week for sure! Lots of miracles and special days!!  Mid Transfer Conference  So in our mission in the middle of the transfer we gather back in all new missionaries and their trainers and we just kind discuss how everything is going and talk about things to try and how we can better help them привыкать  (I forgot that word in English sorry...) It is always one of my most favorite meetings because by the end everyone just walks away with new directions and answers to their questions so it's really uplifting and I feel like I always learn new things for myself as well. I got to see my old comp Elder Rasmussen which is always good! He's training right now and really enjoying that.  Harvest Day This week on Wednesday we had an extra special event in our mission. We took one day and decided to make an extra special focus on inviting people to receive and begin reading the Book of Mormo

Week 63: Travels

Hello everyone!! Travels! This week we spent more time outside of our area than in our area. Which definitely made for some exciting adventures. Things were done in this mission that haven't ever been done before. Let's get started. First off, in just 5 Days we went to 3 Zone Conferences and MLC and did 2 exchanges. We traveled 1,754 kilometers by bus and walked some more kilometers as well. Elder Dunn placed a Book of Mormon at 3 in the Morning in a city called Melitopol where there aren't any missionaries. I got a record amount of sleep on a Night bus and we also has a chance to eat some Хачапури so I can't complain. 1st stop Odessa On Sunday .we drove down through the night to get to Odessa on Monday morning. Once we we there we made a stop by the Zone Leaders and relaxed over there with them for a little bit. And we made the decision to go and eat some Georgian food (btw would recommend it's super good) after which we got some ice cream and heade

Week 62: "There is peace in Christ" 🎵

Another week up on the week shelf. This one was a good and busy one. Just ripe with different events and things going on! I guess I'll go ahead and give you the run down. Stray Dogs All of the stray dogs seem to love to bark at me specifically. I don't know what it's about but I've haven't been bitten yet. All of the babuski are right there to help out when things get close and those dogs respect the babushki. On that note let's get into something a little more касающееся this week: Tuesday (в вторник) We had a busy tuesday at the beginning of the day but by the end of tuesday we had a пустой Tuesday. Of the 3 lessons that we had lined up one of them did workout. It was a very interesting lesson with one of our beloved brethren for the JW's. Их много here in Ukraine! Who would've thought? Not I! Well we invited him to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if its true! Because if it is then it's soooooo important!! And spoiler-
