Week 49: DniproTown

Hello everyone!! I cant remember what I did and didn't say last week so I'll just try and talk about a bunch this week so that you all feel up to speed! Haha let's do it!

Meetings Meetings Meetings
Meetings... we had a bunch of those this week! A couple times me and Elder Rasmussen talk about how sometimes we're looking through the windows just wanting to be out there on the street teaching contacting and всё такие. Which is our joke, because the meetings are all still super good and spiritual and this week was no different. We had our weekly meeting with President Wirthlin. We trained those who will be training had new missionary orientation. Then new leaders meeting then Mission Leadership council. it was definitely a crazy first week! Baptism by fire like we say! Right into the thick of it! But it was actually really good! Learned so much and enjoyed being with all these different missionaries! So most of our time this week was in different meetings!

Golden Time
So in despite of all the meetings we had there are moments that arrive where we have an hour or two of golden time. When this happens it's all hands on deck. I don't know why I didn't contact and teach with this urgency the rest of my mission because it's working miracles. That times is really so precious and I didn't even realize that! Even in our couple hours just here and there we had a really successful week of finding and teaching!! We found 13 new people to teach this week so that's super exciting!

Rainy Day
Sunday was super rainy. We knew we needed to get our 10 conversations in but there wasn't a soul out on the street. We didn't want to waste time and be ineffective but we didn't know if the rain would stop either. We had a feeling we should go and try out the center square of the city so we went on over there. We contacted and contacted and it wasn't looking super good but we had a good feeling and felt to continue forward and that's when the miracles started happening! We had like 20 conversations and made 4 really solid contacts and will have some new people to teach this week! I know the Lord blesses us in the midst of struggle and trial as we push forward with our might!

The Docket
Right now we've got a bunch of people we are working with! Maksim we are working with came to church this week which was awesome! He's still got some more things to understand but he's progressing well! We're excited for him and to see his progress continue!

Things are going well! It's fun to be back here in Dnepr. I had the opportunity to see all my friends from the Pobeda branch and that was a very happy reunion! It was way cool to be all together again! I love those pobeda members. The Dnepr center branch is the biggest one I've served in my whole mission. there are about 60 members that come regularly!

Spiritual Thought!
This week I was thinking a lot about having a sincere heart! In Psalms it takes about having clean hands and a pure heart. And I really take that to be talking about our intentions. In D&C 121:34-45ish it talks about how the powers of heaven are only controlled on the principles of righteousness. As we have a clean heart and righteous intentions we can have the powers of heaven behind us as we strive for that which is the Lord's will. we can have his help and blessings behind us to push us forward. If we don't feel like we have those righteous or correct intentions the atonement can change our heart as we pray and do our very best! Heavenly Father wants to help us and he's ready to do so. he just asks for us to be humble and willing then we can be blessed greatly and do much good!

Love you all and have an amazing week!!
