Week 57: Где мне найти покой?

Another good week in the books this one was super busy! I think I'll start with a run down then go back for all the good stuff in between.

The Rundown
Monday: meeting with President Wirthlin/ Zone Conference prep
Tuesday: Dnipro Zone Conference / 2 mini exchanges
Wednesday: South Zone Conference / mini exchange 
Thursday: mid transfer training 
Friday: Exchange with Elder Stosich on Left Bank
Saturday: normal day featuring wedding service project.
Sunday: CHURCH!! 

Now that you're a little more familiar with what the week looked like. Let's get into the details

All the Good Stuff in Between
We had a couple of really great Zone conferences it's always a blast to be around all the missionaries we have so much fun each time for sure!! And we also learn so much together and this time was nothing different. It's also an opportunity for us as leaders in the mission to teach and instruct in different parts of the conferences. Which is really just a great opportunity to share our testimonies and talk what we feel strongly about. 

Mini Exchanges
In light of Zone conferences and missionaries all gathered into our are we thought it might be a good idea to do some mini exchanges so we don't just have companionships wandering the city not knowing what they should do. Because it's always gonna be more effective if they're with someone who knows the area has a plan, we can in turn teach more lessons because we have 2 companionships in our area and it just benefits everyone. So this week we did it 3 times. It was a little to wrap our head around the logistics but our heads our flexible so we got em' wrapped around by the end of it all at least. It was the first time we'd tried these little exchanges and they worked like a charm so I suspect we will do them more often! The spirit guides!! 

Left Bank exchange
I love Elder Stosich we were together in the MTC and we had a really great exchange together. Working hard talking about the mission, and the old days back in the MTC. We just had a really fun day together and got a lot of great things done! Haha I didn't ever want it to end. But Elder Stosich all in all is such a great missionary he's doing good things over there on the other side of the river.

Lessons this week
We continue to find new people to teach! It's really awesome!! I'm amazed by how many people are interested in meeting and learning more we've had so many lessons this transfer and last. This week there were 4 really promising new people were teaching it was sad because not one of them made it to church but now worries all is not lost. They're names are Sergei, Sergei, Anton, and Dima. I love that they're 2 Sergei's a lot of times in our prayers its like "please bless Sergei and Sergei, Anton and Anton, Dima and Dima, Sasha, Sasha, and Sasha. Because everyone has the same name here but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Wedding 
Soooooo some members asked if we could help set up and clean up their wedding that was gonna be in the branch building. Of course we said yes! We showed up to help and they'd already done everything. They had Daughtry and Nickelback jamming through the whole branch building which wasn't too awesome but that's what you can expect when the Zaporozhe members are in town Haha. Later we came to clean up and that was fun it was cool to see a wedding and some members getting married and making an eternal family!! Building the Kingdom!!

Church
We only had 1 Nikolai make it. The other got busy with some crazy happenings. But all is well he's still moving towards his baptismal date here soon. On the 19th we are stoked for him!!

This week we sang this hymn a few different times and it's just been super meaningful each one for me! Especially in Russian. There you go for all you Russian Speakers.

Week 20 Winter Wonderland

Hello family and friends! I hope you all had a great week this past week wherever in the world you are right now! This week was really great for me! I'm learning so much and growing more and more into the work!  IT IS GETTING COLD!! Saturday I remember walking outside and I think I shed a little tear of sadness because I had thought we were on our way back to warmer weather but that is just not the case. I think it won't be warming up even just a little bit any time soon haha. This week it snowed sooo much. Pretty much everyday! It's hard to tell how much because when you are living in a city of 1 million people and everyone walks everywhere it just gets all compressed down on the sidewalk, then after that turns into ice. People fall all the time its funny but also sometimes really sad! Week 23: I promise we aren't thieves

Привет всем!!! Это я Старейшина Халлс все хорошо у меня! Another week is here in the books in Dnepr, Ukraine, we are all doing good the ice is melting off of the ground and it's getting warmer which I am very excited about! However I still think that it is just the weather deceiving us and it's about to get even colder than I thought was possible... But there is always hope maybe winter is on the outs early this year in Ukriane! посмотрим!  This week has been pretty good for me!! I felt like I've had so many great experiences and learned a lot as well!! I think I'll just go right in! Tuesday we have this weekly things where we go over to this members house and help here grandson out with some English help and then we also do a lesson! Her grandson and her son are not members but they come to church sometimes! this week was our third week there but it was the first time that Zhenya stayed and listened to our lesson which was really exciting! Week 97: Igor's ready!

Hello everyone!! This has been a really eventful and productive week! The biggest part of it I would say has been our teaching of Igor. I've grown to love this brother deeply! We quickly went through all the lessons. Most things he already remembered but there were a lot of other things that we were able to remind him and help him with and that was really good. Things like the Priesthood and the Sacrament. I felt that the spirit was a big help when we prayed to know what we should focus on as we worked with him. There were small and simple promptings that came that we then followed and felt good about. It's amazing to me to see the peace that he feels as he prepares for his baptism. He's very grateful for the work and things we have been doing to help him prepare for his baptism and also get his baptismal service ready and planned. He will be baptized this Saturday. We have been able to talk about everything with the branch leaders and we should have a great baptismal ...
